IWH – Domain for Website

Right from the time the support group was created on Facebook, the response has been overwhelming! I never ever imagined it to be like this, We are one week old and almost 740+ strong team. That makes me go on the double with website and creating a more formal platform for the vision that I have already shared with you all.

Our Vision
We connect to inspire and empower!

Our Mission
We will create a platform for the Indian Women working in the Hospitality industry across the globe to reach their fullest potential through knowledge sharing, mentoring and inspiring each other.
We will collaborate to enhance women’s roles in their own lives, families, communities and the society with self reliance, dignity and equality.

We will work for the nation building and get all Indian Women Empowered by providing support and contributing towards meaningful social causes.
It is said that when you want something, the entire universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.
Many friends from the industry called and messaged me offering their full support. My mantra now is, “Fly before you walk”, now that we have got wings it’s time to fly. The possibilities are innumerable, with all the powerful women with me on this, we can reach out to the sky! even that can’t be a limit!
I am not what has happened to me. I am what I choose to be.
IWH has registered the domain for it’s website, it’ll be called www.theiwh.com Another step towards our goal of making the industry a happy and engaging place for the women working there. We have celebrated enough of International Women’s Days. Time we do something concrete and sustainable and something we all can be proud of! Read in the Sunday supplement that Margot Robbie backs #Metoo campaign. We are on a mission #Metoo too! But for not playing victims, we are on mission #Metoo for Empowerment.
One of the ladies on this group messaged me saying that she drew so much of inspiration from the other women there. She added that it was as if everyone was waiting for something of this kind to unfold. This is such an encouragement and validation of the thought.
Another young professional wrote that her reason for joining the hospitality industry was that it was the only industry where professionals if groomed could work anywhere! she added that another reason was the number of job opportunities it provided worldwide.
She brought out a very valid point “if groomed”; I guess we are here to help one another understand and find answers to that IF! That is what empowering is all about. When someone is able to make a choice without having to explain it to anyone. Support, guidance and mentoring is available ; without being judged.
I am glad that it is shaping up well, true to the purpose for which was was created, a place for seeking knowledge, exchanging ideas and above all mentoring. As there are professionals onboard, who have ‘been there and done that’ the others get their doses of motivation from them. A forum to Inspire. Enrich and Empower!
